An U15 fixture was played on Thursday afternoon for the S3 age group at academy. This was played with St Matthew’s Academy and Ardrossan Academy combining to play Largs Academy at Ardrossan Rugby Club. The match was 13-a-side played in dry conditions inbetween the showers throughout the day! There was some excellent offloading rugby played in slippery conditions with good performances from both teams leading to a close match with St Matthew’s/Ardrossan proving eventual winners 27-22 with a try in the final play. Was a really good game and from it hopefully we can see some more of the promising players along at the Club on a more regular basis.view more»
Although the weather was not on our side it still wasn’t enough to dampen the participant’s spirits for it was a truly exciting day of rugby. Four schools from the local area attended a boys and girls tournament which consisted of Caledonia, Ardreer, St Lukes and Dykemains Primaries. These schools had undertaken a 6 week rugby block delivered by our Ardrossan Accies Development Team.view more»
